For Weddings, we believe that a face to face meeting with the
Bride & Groom is critical to providing the service you expect
and deserve. You need to feel comfortable with our style and
personality as well as our service offering. We ask that you fill
out the Wedding Information Form available on this site prior to
our initial meeting. This form gathers some basic information
which aids us in planning the entertainment portion of your
wedding and/or reception to your exact requirements. It's your
special day and we're here to help make it as perfect as
possible.
One of the unique features of Lone Star Entertainment is choice.
Some couples struggle with the decision between using a DJ or
the energy that Live Entertainment can provide. The choice we
offer you is the option to have both recorded music played and
live entertainment all in one package. With a variety of
Performance Tracks available, Lone Star Entertainment's
professional vocalists will sing your choice of songs to suit the
appropriate situation, such as the Bride & Groom's first dance
and the Father/Daughter dance. Click the Performance Tracks
link to see a listing of available songs. If you don't see song
you'd like to have performed, ask us about it. We are
constantly adding to our performance track list and are never
hesitant to rehearse a song specifically for you. Visit our Music
page to hear some recorded samples of First Dance and
Father/Daughter songs that we perform.
For a partial listing of our music library, you can click on this
Song List link. We are constantly adding to our music library.

Whether or not you decide to choose Lone Star Entertainment for your special
day, we want to arm you with some critical information, which should help you
make an informed decision regarding your wedding's entertainment. The
Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex is saturated with DJ services. But one thing holds
true, as it does with any purchase of services: You get what you pay for.
Many local advertising mediums (ex. Craigslist.org) have endless listings of low-
priced DJs for you to choose from. Make sure you ask the following questions
before choosing price over value:
- Does the DJ use a written Service Agreement which you both sign?
- Does the DJ bring backup equipment in case of equipment issues/failure?
- Does the DJ carry a Liability Insurance Policy to cover any unforeseen events?
- Does the DJ develop a Timeline that you both approve prior to the event?
- Can the DJ provide you customer/professional references upon request?
- Is the DJ's music legally downloaded or purchased?
I strongly urge you to weigh the value of what each DJ is offering you versus the
price you'll be paying for his/her's services. Don't be so quick to jump at the
lowest price without considering what you're getting in return. The range of
pricing is quite wide in this area. Some DJ's offer their services for $250 for 4 hrs,
others for $2000. Our hope is that you find just the right amount of service and
protection you require for the most competitive price. But just remember,
competitive seldom means lowest. You should always question the extremes:
why is somebody priced so high or so low? There is generally a reason for it and
it can adversely affect you, either by lack of service or by paying too much.
One final thing to consider, if you were to ask your guests one year after your
wedding what they remember the most, the vast majority would tell you the
entertainment or DJ. Yet many brides and grooms are willing to spend more
money on their cake, flowers and decorations than on their entertainment.
Don't make the mistake of undervaluing the impact that your entertainment
provides. I can't stress enough how important it is to weigh value versus price.
You and your guests will be glad that you did.
